Champions,

     At the annual meeting, I shared how I believe we need more champions for our association to accomplish what God wants us to accomplish.  One of those champions has emerged in Ronnie Vanaman.  Ronnie will be the editor for our newsletter and I have high hopes that it will be a quality job.  Praise the Lord for Ronnie!  She is a member of Gravel Ridge Church and has experience in newsletter publishing.

     Other champions have yet to step forward.  I still believe we need to see more people answer God's call to preach the word.  If someone has answered that call in your church, post a comment to this blog.  I'd love to hear about them.  I am praying for someone to feel the direction from God to lead our churches in challenging individuals to consider God's call to ministry.

I still believe we need a champion for evangelism.  Only a few of our churches are growing.  We need to reach people for Christ.  This is our highest priority.  But, sometimes we are not sure how to make this happen more effectively.  I am praying for someone to feel led of God to be our champion of evangelism.  No more zeros!

I still believe we need a champion who is called of God to plant a new church.  Unfortunately, some churches will close over time.  In order for us to be the most effective at sharing the gospel, we need more churches.  There are many communities with large unchurched populations around us.  Who will step out?  I am praying for someone to feel led of God to be our champion of evangelism.
